PharmCORP
During the 2005 Kappa Epsilon National Convention, the delegates voted to add Pharmacy Career Opportunity Recruitment Project (Pharm-CORP) as a second national project for the fraternity. As part of Pharm-CORP, Kappa Epsilon members provide presentations to local high school students to introduce a career in pharmacy. The goal of this project is to encourage students to start planning for their careers by attending the necessary classes, researching the admissions requirements for colleges of pharmacy, and learning about the various opportunities available for pharmacists.
During the last two years, a survey was conducted among students who participated in these presentations. The survey revealed that students who attended Pharm-CORP presentations understood the various roles of the pharmacist in the community and were more likely to consider pharmacy as a career choice.
